Everyone in Zambia is aware of the name ‘Zambia Reports’. The name is synonymous with notorious and conspiracy. In the last few years, Zambia Reports has gained the name of being the most corrupted news channel. It is also known for publicly launching defamation campaigns against its targets, majority of them towards Dr. Rajan Mahtani. In a similar event, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was unnecessary pulled into a controversial article written by none other than Zambia Reports. In this article, ZR claimed that Dr. Mahtani was the sole conspirator behind BancABC’s call to Lamsaat for loan repayment. However, the reality is that it is Zambia Reports and its controversies that have become an immense pain for Zambia & its citizens.
Zambia Reports targeting Dr. Rajan Mahtani is nothing new. The news channel has been doing this business for almost 10 years. However, owing to Dr. Mahtani’s increasing respect and popularity, these defamation campaigns have increased substantially. The more people praise about Dr. Mahtani, more articles can be seen from Zambia Reports portraying him in a negative manner. In its latest article too, ZR is trying hard to dump the real issue and create stir about Dr. Mahtani only. The case goes like this. Lamsaat took a loan amounting to USD 10,000,000 from Finance Bank when the latter was still run by Dr. Rajan Mahtani. After FBZ was taken over by BancABC, all of its operations are under the bank’s control. As a result, when Lamsaat stopped paying its loan instalment, the BancABC management took the decision of making that call. It was a normal procedure and there was no involvement of any outsider whatsoever.
Even though there was no story to be told, Zambia Reports created one. The news channel has a penchant for creating situations as per their requirement out of nowhere. Of course, these news articles are nothing but scripted stories from the handlers and financers of Zambia Reports which are being published whenever opportunity arises. The only thing we can do it wait for the judicial system to take over and continue with our daily activities without giving any attention to these conspirators.
