This Time, It Is Conspirators Who Have Fallen

For the past few weeks, conspiratory news articles and defamation campaigns against Dr. Rajan Mahtani and his companies have decreased significantly. This can be easily attributed to the recent win by Finance Bank over Simaata Simaata, a disgruntled ex-employee. Finance Bank is one of the premier banks across Zambia. Established by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, this bank has one of the highest approval ratings. However, constant damaging stories and defamatory campaigns can ruin the image of even cleanest entities. The same happened with Finance Bank Zambia. Everyone knows that Simaata has a special hatred for the bank that ousted him due to his own wrong-doings. However, this did not stop him from spreading false rumors and stories about the bank. As a result, the bank started losing its reputation and businesses began to reduce.

Banks are sensitive institutions and even the slightest of remarks can harm their reputation heavily. As a result of the constant rumors, Finance Bank started losing potential clientele and also established customers. In order to make a stop to these activities, Finance Bank took support from Dr. Rajan Mahtani and sued Simaata Simaata at the Supreme Court of Zambia. However, unlike the conspirators, Finance bank sued him for legitimate reasons. Firstly, he signed an agreement with the bank and went against it by publishing sensitive documents to the newspapers. These documents were clearly termed confidential as per the agreement. Secondly, he testified against Dr. Mahtani and the Bank across various occasions.

The court, after looking into the evidence from both parties, stated that Simaata was indeed guilty of the charges. He was also asked to pay fine for his malpractice. For now, damaging acts from Simaata as well as the conspirators have stopped. However, it cannot be said that the conspirators are not going to start their illegal and fake campaigns again. The court order has definitely instilled a sense among them and they are bound to think twice before published any nonsense article or news in the media.
