Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was recently selected for one of the most prestigious African business awards. This award is developed by Forbes and FIN (Foreign Investment Network) and is known as the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. Every year, Forbes in partnership with FIN holds the annual Forbes philanthropic and leadership roundtable conference. This event is one of the most anticipated across entire Zambia and is looked upon by investors, analysts and media. The roundtable conference invites members from different field and areas including international business communities, spiritual leaders, political leaders, opinion leaders, media partners and international investors. The 2021 event was held online as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which has gripped the entire world. However, the enthusiasm regarding the event did not go down and noted personalities from different fields graced the event. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was one of the esteemed members who was invited as a honorary speaker at the event. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was also the only businessman from Zambia who was invited as a honorary speaker to grace the international business event.
Not only that, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was also selected as an awardee for one of the most anticipated award ceremony. This award ceremony was held during the online roundtable conference. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was awarded with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the year’ award for redefining the banking sector of Zambia. Furthermore, Dr. Mahtani’s flagship entity Mahtani Group has been instrumental in upping the standards of business across several Zambian industries such as mining, energy, real estate, agriculture, banking and insurance. His companies have also made their mark across several African nations as well as international locations. The philanthropic and charitable contributions by Dr. Mahtani are equally important. He is the founder of Prison Fellowship Zambia and established the Stephen Malama award for law graduates in Zambia.
