One of the most awaited and regarded business events in Africa, the Forbes-FIN roundtable conference was recently completed in the month of August. The Foreign Investment Limited (FIN) established leadership and roundtable conference was conducted with the objective of bringing brightest minds across Africa to a single platform, discuss about the importance of philanthropy and leadership in the nation’s growth and development, generate ideas for economic and social improvement as well as generate funds or financial support for the ongoing and upcoming projects across Africa. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, was invited in this event as a honorary speaker. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was the only businessman from Zambia invited in this prestigious and regarded international event. Several other personalities attended the event including members from international business communities, spiritual leaders, opinion leaders and political leaders, international investors and media partners.
As a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the event was held online and members participated in this event from their respective locations. Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who participated in this event from his conference room, spoke about the importance of leadership in healthcare. The FIN business conference was also highly anticipated due to the inclusion of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was not only invited in the event as a honorary speaker, but was also selected as one of the awardees. For his contributions towards the Zambian banking industry, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was bestowed with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2021 award. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the owner of several top companies in Zambia, including Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments among others. His companies are known for redefining their respective industries and improve their standards, along with reduce economic and business inequalities. His philanthropic and charitable contributions are also unique. Some of these philanthropic contributions include Prison Fellowship Zambia and Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
