While Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been awarded with many awards and grants in the future, the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards holds a special significance due to the brand Forbes as well as the rigorous selection process. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was recently invited at the 2021 Forbes-FIN philanthropy and roundtable conference as a honorary speaker. This event was held online as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and participants took part in the event from their respective locations. The Forbes-FIN philanthropy and roundtable conference also included the annual Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was recognised by Forbes for his significant contributions to Zambian economic development and was conferred with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani received this award gracefully, thanking almighty god for his support and strength especially during difficult times. Dr. Mahtani also thanked his team member for their persistent support, motivation and dedication towards the work that resulted in the success of his projects. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is noted for his few top organizations, some of which are Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments. Mahtani Group was set up in the year 1981 and from that point forward have become one of the most significant and praised organizations across Zambia. The organization changed itself into a uber aggregate by growing to a few areas including agribusiness, mining, protection, energy, land and a few others. Across this multitude of areas, Dr. Mahtani has made critical commitments for the improvement of the area. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is likewise known for his various altruistic and beneficent commitments. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is the author and current administrator of the Prison Fellowship Zambia. He is likewise the originator of Stephen Malama grant and grant for top law graduates in Zambia. Despite facing significant challenges even now, Dr. Mahtani continues to work for the betterment of the Zambian people.
