The question of the moment is that how many stories will the conspirators continue to make in the name of the Chairman of Mahtani Group of Companies, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani? For the past few years, there has been a constant flow of defamatory news from the side of the conspirators who have made countless claims about his corruption. The latest in the series is an article where Zambia Reports is claiming that its source had witnessed Dr. Mahtani trying to pay a bribe worth USD $ 1 million to a government official in return for his passport.
For any sane person, it will not be that hard to realize the fact that USD $ 1 million is a huge amount and a person like Dr. Mahtani is educated enough to realize its value and the legal remedies available under the Zambian Law. He has already filed a case under cause no. 2015/HP/1093 in the Zambia High Court against the DPP and the Inspector General of Police because they had denied him the privileges which are guaranteed by the Constitution of Zambia, namely article 12 and 22.
To add some spice, the article in Zambia Reports goes on to the extent of claiming that Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani had produced fake medical reports to ensure that he can escape the legal charges which were put in his name. However, the truth is now in front of all as he has been vested with a judicial review. It is expected that the conspirators will soon be unmasked and their hideous deeds would be finally put to an end. The fight between the two has continued ever since the Portland Cement Zambia’s ownership was given to Finsbury Investments with a stake of 58%.
