The conspirators may have accumulated the support of some local figures, they may have also offered a good sum to Zambia Reports, but they cannot change the truth and rewrite the events as per their wish. The Ventriglia family has been trying to show its influence by way of bribing officials and getting Rajan Mahtani arrested. However, in the end, the truth surfaced above all and the Former Finance Bank Chairman was released within a matter of days.
A claim which was already settled in 2012, was again being challenged through a series of senseless arguments. The end result of the same was that the Lusaka High Court had once again released Rajan Mahtani from all the charges laid by the Ventriglia family and hence, the case was once again lost in November 2015. When a person looks back into the series of affairs that the conspirators had done to steal the Portland Cement Zambia, it simply sends shivers down the spine. Right from forcing a junior officer to make changes in the record of PACRA to questioning a Judge’s neutrality, the conspirators have done it all! They have implemented every single strategy which they could have to defame Rajan Mahtani and win the confidence of the local public and the Government.
Sadly, the conspirators have failed on each occasion and with every single day, their reputation is going down the drain. There have been numerous cases within the premise of Portland Cement Zambia which the workers often narrate. The cases mainly relate to mismanagement of funds, ill-treatment to the workers and prevailing corruption in the management group. The bottom line is- stories will not help the conspirators to bring down Rajan Mahtani. If the conspirators wish to challenge Dr. Mahtani, they should do the same in open and have a clear contest, rather than shouting from behind the curtains.
